There are a few popular natural remedies for dry hair or overall health that I absolutely swear by! And they are not complicated! Personally, a hot oil treatment with our Khalila oil is a must for me, especially in the colder months!!!
Guys, did you see the quality of my hair last week on our Instagram page, when I blow dried it! I was really pleased!
- Strength! ✅
- Volume ✅
- Moisture ✅
Now, I’ll be honest, I don’t throw treatments at my hair! I don’t believe you need most treatments beyond a superb conditioner and perhaps a protein treatment here and there! Remember! What you don’t do to your hair is just as important as what you do.
I can hear you shouting: what about all these BOND BUILDERS!!!! Okay okay, if you have relaxed hair or bleached hair they can be helpful!
But I promise you! What you do to your hair regularly, is more important than any one off or once every 3 months treatment! And if you love at home treatments here are 2 effective options I swear by!
1. Hot oil Treatment with our Khalila or Olive Oil
Our Khalila oil is the best premium Oil on the market for Afro Textured hair. We researched the heck out of that combination. The oil can penetrate to strengthen. The green coffee bean oil will stimulate your follicles and the essential oils chosen don’t just add scent, it has anti-inflammatory properties. Ylang-Yang too is a known stimulator! And will relax you too—bonus!
If you don’t have our Khalila oil! Second best is olive oil, preferable ours, because quality is everything!
Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids. We also know it can penetrate into the hair shaft! The only downside? There are too many fakes, diluted, and inferior-quality olive oils! And yes I’m saying this with my full chest! Including the ones you buy in the supermarkets! Which have been found wanting! Good olive oil is not £1.99, trust me.
How to do it
Warm a small amount of olive oil, apply it to your hair, and leave it on for an hour before rinsing. Watch one of our videos below.
2. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is known for its soothing properties and can help hydrate dry hair. I used this a lot when my Daughter used to experience mild scalp flaking!

How to use
Apply fresh aloe vera gel directly to the hair and scalp, leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then rinse with water. Now, I later learnt that fresh Aloe Vera has active enzymes that are lost in alternatives, so for this treatment, stick with fresh
In summary
Incorporating these natural remedies into your hair care routine can help alleviate dryness and promote healthier hair.
